Domino has become synonymous with a type of game, but it is so much more than that. Domino is about the path you establish for yourself and how you pursue it. It’s a series of “want to’s” and “get to’s” not “have to’s.” If you want to achieve something, it starts with the first domino.

Domino is also about the chain reaction that occurs when one thing triggers another. It’s a lesson that we all can apply to our lives. The simplest example is the domino effect: tipping over one domino causes it to knock over the next, and the next, and the next, until you have an amazing display of domino art.

One of the most important lessons we can learn from domino is that if you start with a small change, it can lead to big things. It’s a principle that is often used to explain positive side effects of medications and diet changes. For instance, if someone begins exercising more regularly, they may find that they also want to eat healthier foods as a natural side effect.

The same principle applies to establishing a positive life and career path. When you start with the small steps, you can build a great foundation for yourself. This will set you up for success in your personal and professional life. You can even use the domino effect to create a plan for how you’d like your story to unfold.

Whether you write your manuscript off the cuff or take it slow with a detailed outline, plotting a novel comes down to answering one simple question: What happens next? Using the domino effect can help you craft a story that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.

Domino first appeared in X-Men #252 (January 1994). Able to affect the laws of probability and manipulate odds, she is a master weapons expert and psionic. She is also a talented martial artist and linguist.

In the modern era, Domino has joined several different incarnations of X-Force. She worked with Jesse Aaronson to rescue his brother from the Clandestine Weapon X program and later assisted Cable in investigating a mutant-devouring Skornn entity. When reality was displaced during the Age of Apocalypse, she became romantically involved with Cable and shared a psionic link with him.

Hevesh is the world record holder for the largest domino display, with a staggering total of 76,017 individual tiles. She has created a number of intricate displays, and says that the key to her success is understanding one simple rule: gravity. Hevesh says that she doesn’t tell her dominoes what to do, but instead trusts them to fall into place based on the forces of gravity. She’s been known to spend several nail-biting minutes waiting for her massive creations to come down. Once they do, though, the impact is incredible.
